The EPIC 1501 Relay Module fits into a standard wall mounted electrical box. Mounting the relay module is the same familiar procedure of mounting a wall switch.
A LED indicates when the relay is active. This LED, visible for many feet, provides a positive indication that the circuit is performing.
Control voltage for the relay module is 24 VAC. Connect the two control wires to the terminals marked C1 and C2. The relay is programmed as a “station” and when the station is activated the relay module will be active. The load to be switched should be connected to L1 and L2, in the same manner as connecting to a standard wall switch.
Power consumed during operation is only 60 MA. This allows up to five relay modules to be driven from a single “station” output of the EPIC – 40 Controller. Thus five separate functions can be implemented with a combined load current of up to 75 Amps.
The EPIC Relay module can control any 60 Hz electrical load up to 15 amps. Security lights and alarms, ventilators, fuel pumps, battery chargers, office lights, conveyers, gates, are but a few of the applications possible.
